Each book consists of three components- a box with a window and button tie closure, a book about Alexander Calder, and a tiny kinetic wire sculpture. The computer-generated text includes Michael's discovery of Calder in 1964 and a biography of this incredibly playful and inventive artist. To honor one of Calder's main sources of inspiration, the universe, turning the crank on the wire sculpture causes a constellation to revolve freely in space.
